Insurgent Muay Thai

The Largest Muay Thai academy in northern Arizona

Our Program

Our Insurgent Striking curriculum draws heavily from the art of Muay Thai, also known as Thai Boxing, celebrated for its mastery of the "Art of Eight Limbs". Participants are trained in utilizing punches, kicks, elbows, and knee strikes, collectively comprising the eight striking points. With a rich history of effectiveness, Muay Thai stands as one of the foremost striking martial arts worldwide, renowned for its efficacy in both self-defense and competitive arenas, including the ring and MMA cage.

Classes 5 days a week

Discover the art of Muay Thai through our immersive training program, running Monday to Friday. Each 90-minute session is designed to push your limits, starting with rigorous endurance training, transitioning to technical skill development, and culminating in live technical sparring. • 3 week curriculum
    • A consistent curriclum (Monday thru Friday)
    • Partner dirll focused classes (always)
    • Mittt and thai pad focused classes
    • Heavy bag drills
    • Dedicated technical sparring every class (1 heavy sparring class, approximatly once a quarter)
    • Drill, drill, drill, and drilling more. We drill so you become better
  • We strive for each student to succeed in their goals, regardless if you are training for competition or for the pure exercise of it. We place a high degree in the quality of our fighters, unlike other schools who just put students in the cage so they can claim to have "fighters".

Insurgent actually cares for their students and their well-being. Before any new student can step into the MMA cage, Insurgent requires new students (who want to fight) to first fight inside the Muay Thai ring and enter into one BJJ tournament. This approach allows the student to place specific focus on his/her striking skills and grappling techniques without worrying about combining both immediately.

To prepare fighters, Insurgent also designs fight camps for fighters and incorporates the fight camp into the classes. This way classmates feel included in the training, and work along fighters elevating everyone's performance and technique. Insurgent also has trainers on hand to help students who are in fight camp, achieve the best conditioning possible before their fights.
